Dusty Bibles
We live in a time when our phones get upgraded every year — but our Bibles sit on the shelf gathering dust. This message isn’t about guilt — • it’s about awakening. • God wants His Word to be alive in us, not forgotten. 1: The Contrast Between Our Priorities • Our iPhones get cases, screen protectors, and monthly updates. • Our Bibles get dust. • Pages untouched. Jesus said in Matthew 4:4, “Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.” • The Word of God is more essential than the information on our screens. • Think of how quickly you reach for your phone in the morning. • What if you reached for God’s Word with the same urgency? 2:The Power in the Pages 2 Timothy 3:16 says all Scripture is God-breathed. • When we neglect the Bible, we’re neglecting God’s breath — His voice • We scroll endlessly for news and entertainment, but the greatest news ever written waits for us in Scripture. Psalm 119:105: “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” • Phones can light up a dark room — • but only God’s Word can light up a dark life.
